Sworn Translations
What do "asseverazione" and "legalizzazione" mean?
"Asseverazione" (official translation or sworn translation) is a translated document released by any italian Court of Justice that has legal efficacy. It is usely produced for certificates, papers and diplomas, for both personal or corporate use. Through this process the translation acquires legal validity.
The official translation service is provided by mother tongue translators registered at the Chamber of Commerce and also Registered "Office Technical Adviser" (C.T.U.) at the italian Court of Justice
In order for italian documents to be valid abroad it is also necessary what is called "legalizzazione della firma" (a certified legalisation) of the officer of the court. We offer this service as it is a requirement of validity for all countries which signed the Aja Convention, including the United States and the United Kingdom. As referring to this sort of translation, the marginal note on the document is also called "apostille". For foreign documents to be valid in Italy, the simple official (sworn) translation is sufficient. |

For official translations tax stamps (value €14,62) are necessary for each hundred lines or 4 pages including the original document and the official report.
Some documents are tax exempted by law (adoptions, fellowships, divorce, work and national insurance papers, et cetera): a referring note to the law must be included in the report.
The cutomer will be charged of the tax stamps costs which we will provide producing the relative invoice.
You will receive the official translation at any address you choose, stapled with the original document (sent to use by email or shipping) including necessary tax stamps and final report. We will provide the certified legalisation if the documents is to be used outside Italy. |
